Last week Bank of Canada increased the rate from 1% to 1.25% which means the big 5 banks will be doing a rate hike. Keep a watch on your mortgage rate if you are not locked in. An example of the rate hike would be an extra $50/month on a 25 year mortgage of $400,000.

I went before it got too crowded this weekend as I heard this year's Calgary Fall Home Show had over 82% capacity of booths rented with new things to see. What are some of my favourites? I took a few photos of the "Dinner By Design Calgary" tablescapes that made my list. Check it out:

I also enjoyed the Do-It-Yourself Project "OneNightStand Challenge" in support of Habitat For Humanity which is one of my favourite non-profit groups that I encourage my clients to donate to and visit their 2 stores in both SE & NE Calgary. This year, 5 designers have been challenged to take a basic nightstand from basic to bold, using only Rust-Oleum® paints and stains and a frugal $50 design budget. I personally chose Magda Assaf from Modern Emulsions as a top

How was your summer? I really enjoyed the warmer temperatures but boy did Fall set in this week! I've heard that interest rates will increase again so take a look at your long term plans and see if locking into a mortgage rate is best for you.

Home Sold for 98.6% of the List Price!!As you will see this condo complex in Glamorgan of southwest Calgary had some other competition but with the right marketing, presentation, and negotiation skills I helped get the sale for close to their asking price **Check out the SOLD sign**
