Conditions Continue to Favour The Seller

Dear friends, valued clients and colleagues,
Well, it looks like Spring has finally come! And our real estate market is buzzing with activity and anticipated to get even busier these coming weeks when the weather gets warmer.
Whether you are considering selling, have questions about the market, timing or the price of your current or desired home, please do give me a call. This is what I do, every day, so I'm well versed and happy to answer your questions.
If you're thinking about buying, I'd be happy to show you properties and also set you up on an automatic search for properties that meet your needs, so that you're notified in REAL TIME of any new listings or price changes. One of the biggest advantages is that it saves you sifting through the public MLS website and some homes are selling so fast they don't even get listed to the public right now!
P.S. Check out the California Trip for 4 contest and enter at http://www.cirrealty.ca/contest/cir-contest.cir. You could win!
If you need help with staging your house for sale, please give me a call!
Happy Easter!
Yours truly,
Nancy

New listings remain below expectations in the single family sector
“There are several factors contributing to the growth in housing demand, including the inflow of people to our province over the past two years, strong gains in employment and tight rental conditions,” says CREB® chief economist Ann-Marie Lurie. “However, supply conditions vary amongst the different property segments, impacting the number of sales and price growth. If supply constraints persist in the single family sector, prices are expected to record further gains as we move into the spring market.” Click Here »
Property prices and sales in Canada forecast to rise steadily in 2014 and into 2015
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has updated its forecast for home sales and prices, saying it expects transactions and values to increase during the spring months and into 2015.
The national average home price is forecast to rise by 3.8% to $397,000 in 2014, with similar sized gains in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. Modest changes in average prices are forecast for all other provinces this year. Click Here »
Young buyers following heart, not head
Forget facts and figures, more Ontario buyers follow their hearts when buying properties.
Real estate may be a game of numbers, but the new generation of buyers are more influenced by emotion than figures.
That is according to a new study by the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) which shows that those in the 18 to 34 age bracket are more influenced by emotion when buying their home. Click Here »
